Why? Because lighting changes dramatically outdoors with overcast skies or rain. If your venue doesn’t have a solid rain plan, it can limit where we capture your photos.

Pro tip: Visit the venue during a rainy day or cloudy afternoon to see how the lighting feels and where photos could happen. I’ve photographed weddings at coastal venues where a quick move indoors, clear umbrellas or under a covered porch saved the day. Not to mention, the photos still came out stunning and full of emotion. It also pays to be open to clear umbrellas!
