There’s something so special about documenting a growing family, especially during those early months when everything changes so quickly. Brittany and DJ’s Round Valley Reservoir family photos with their six-month-old daughter, Maya, was the perfect way to capture this fleeting season of life.
We planned this session for a crisp October morning, just before the park became busy with visitors. The weather was perfect—cool but comfortable—and the foliage was nearing its peak, creating a stunning backdrop of golden hues and rich autumn tones. Round Valley Reservoir is a beautiful location for family photos, offering peaceful lakeside views, open fields, and wooded trails that make for organic and natural portraits.
This session wasn’t about elaborate setups or formal poses. It was about capturing the simple joys of a family being together. Brittany and DJ snuggled their sweet baby Maya, who was full of smiles during our session. We embraced the cuddles and smiles documenting the deep love and family connection. The autumn breeze, the golden leaves, and Maya’s adorable expressions made every moment feel effortlessly beautiful. Having known the Rolle Family for awhile, it was so special for me to capture these wonderful memories.
Time moves so fast, especially in the first year of a baby’s life. These early moments—when they fit perfectly in your arms, gaze up at you with wonder, and smile at the sound of your voice—are truly priceless. Capturing these memories ensures that years from now, you’ll have tangible reminders of these beautiful, fleeting days.
If you’re looking to document your own family’s love story, I’d love to create something special for you. Although I am based in Boston, I do travel to NJ often! Let’s capture the moments you’ll cherish forever—reach out today to book your family portrait session!
