Julie and Bennett’s Renaissance Golf Club Wedding in Haverhill, MA was nothing short of magical. After 13 straight weekends of rain in New England, their big day finally broke the streak (thank god!). On June 21st, the longest day of the year, they celebrated with sunshine, warmth, and the perfect golden light. A typical New England summer that us locals love to brag about.

Although they now live in Florida, Julie and Bennett knew there was no better place than home to tie the knot. Coming back to New England allowed them to celebrate their roots with family, lifelong friends, and the charm of a quintessential Massachusetts venue. They chose the Renaissance Golf Club because of the beautiful spaces for everything on site (including getting ready suites!), and of course Bennett’s love of the game.

A Romantic First Look

Before the ceremony, Julie and Bennett shared an intimate first look tucked away on the Renaissance Golf Club’s lush grounds. They valued spending cocktail hour with their guests, and as a wedding photographer, I make sure to always listen to what my couples want from their wedding days. Their first look was a quiet chance to soak in the emotions before the whirlwind of the day. The elegant backdrop of rolling greens set the tone for their heartfelt celebration.

Not to mention, one of the most meaningful parts of their gallery was the integration of film photography. My husband (my rockstar second shooter) and I brought film cameras to complement the digital coverage. The grain, tones, and candid feel of film gave their final gallery a nostalgic vibe. Together, digital and film created a timeless gallery that felt both modern and classic.
