Hotel Viking Wedding | Jess & David's Fall Wedding

November 3rd, 2024, was a wedding day to remember—one that was extra special for me to capture because Jess is my cousin-in-law! Their Hotel Viking wedding in Newport, Rhode Island, was filled with love, history, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the last dance. From the moment the day began, it was clear this celebration would be nothing short of magical.

A Historic Church Ceremony in Newport, RI

Firstly, Jess and David tied the knot in one of the most iconic churches in New England. St Mary’s Catholic church was the same church where John F. Kennedy and Jackie O exchanged their vows! Stepping into that space, you could feel the weight of history, but more importantly, the excitement for Jess and David’s next chapter. The church’s grand architecture made for an unforgettable backdrop as they said, “I do.”

A Perfect Autumn Day for their Hotel Viking Wedding

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the stunning Hotel Viking for the reception. The wedding party took the Newport Trolley to Fort Adam’s State Park. Here we captured wonderful wedding photos of the bride and groom with their posse. Not to mention, It was also where David proposed to Jess! Then, we continued on the trolley to King’s Park for gorgeous bridal portraits to cap off their wedding shot list!

The crisp November air, the rich autumn colors, and the warmth of family and friends made for the perfect day. As a wedding photographer, I live for these moments—the anticipation, the emotional tears, and the rockin’ dance floor—and this wedding had them all.
