There’s something about summer weddings at Grand View in Mendon, MA that just feel effortless. Sunshine, joy, and that hint of wedding magic in the air. Veronika and Matt’s wedding was exactly that. From their first look to their last dance, their day was filled with joy, energy, and so much heart.
When Veronika and Matt first reached out, they booked both their engagement photos and wedding photography with me. We met up for engagement photos about a year before the wedding, and I still remember how easy it was working with them. They were laid-back, trusted the process, and told me afterward that the photos were exactly what they had envisioned.
We knew right away we wanted to carry that same relaxed, authentic energy into their wedding day, and that’s exactly what happened.
The morning kicked off with so much excitement. My second photographer and I split up — I stayed with Veronika and her bridesmaids, while my second headed over to Matt and his groomsmen.
Both groups were buzzing with energy. Laughter, music, champagne, the works. It made our jobs so easy…and the photos? Some of the best I’ve taken.
Veronika comes from a strong Polish family, and having a spiritual, sentimental place to exchange vows was really important to her. They chose a beautiful church in Worcester for their ceremony, surrounded by family, tradition, and love.
After their “I do’s,” we made our way to Grand View Mendon for portraits. One of the perks of having an earlier church ceremony is the extra breathing room in the schedule. We had plenty of time for portraits and they still got to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests — the ultimate win-win!
Firstly, this venue is a DREAM for portraits. Between the lakefront views, the rolling green lawns, and the timeless architecture, every corner feels photo-ready. The light that afternoon was soft and hazy, exactly what photographers hope for.
In short, Veronika and Matt’s portraits felt like an extension of their engagement session. They were fun, easy, and filled with laughter. You could tell they were completely in the moment.
Their reception kicked off with a perfectly choreographed first dance that had everyone cheering. Not to mention, the maid of honor and best man gave incredible speeches that balanced humor and heart, and once the music started, the dance floor was packed.
Likewise, the Polish band, Windstar (@wszeborofficial), kept the energy high all night long. Guests danced, sang, and celebrated nonstop. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the stunning views or perfect weather. It was Veronika and Matt’s energy. They were calm, kind, and completely present.
Because they’d already worked with me for their engagement photos, they trusted me to guide them through the day while staying true to their personalities. That comfort and connection made all the difference, and it shows in every photo.
